Art Projects

We believe art gives people the ability to express themselves and to communicate by drawing their unique emotions. When you create, you are letting the world see through your eyes.

Drawing is a great way to boost creativity. We offer Coloring pages and free drawings for kid to express their thoughts and emotions on paper.

Painting is great for strengthening kids' focus and make use of one's imagination. We provide and guide kids to use water color and acrylic paint to create their own unique art piece, and organize fun projects like rock art and bubble paintings.

Sculpting calms and allows kids design and construct shapes. We have clay and sculpting tools for kids to build and paint their unique work.

Crafts improve Patience and concentration. We lead kids through fun activities like origami, bracelets and water beads for kids to show their creativity.

Mission Statement

Aster Craft's mission is to help kids with special needs grow and flourish in their environment by introducing them to different art activities such as creating paintings and sculptures. We are a non-profit organization led by high school students to provide elementary and middle school students with special needs with the opportunity to create and express their ideas in person. Students are also given an opportunity to sell their art to raise money for the monthly spotlighted charity.

Background

There are many organizations currently helping special needs kids. However, most of them focus on core subjects and life skills. Growing up we always loved arts and crafts, and often found ourselves lost in the depths of creativity. We decided to create this organization so we could let others experience the joy that comes from expressing yourself. We want to help special needs kids feel more confident and show people the world through their eyes. The action of painting, and crafting can create a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment which encourages kids to communicate and express themselves more.
